Rules

Round 1:

This preliminary round organised on an online judge has 7-8 problems. This is the qualifier round. Top 15 non-MNNIT teams and top 10 MNNIT teams directly qualify for the Onsite Round (Round 3). Teams from MNNIT who solve at least one question in this round qualify for Round 2. Teams from first year can directly give the second round.

Round 2:

This is a pen/paper Coding round for only teams from MNNIT. Around 25-30 teams from this round move to the final Onsite Round.

Round 3:

This is what so many years of coding boils down to. The final round of Insomnia is a race to the finish round of 5 hours duration where the team solving maximum number of questions with least time taken becomes the winner.

For final round, only 25 pages( single side printed ) of printed material is allowed of font size 12 or greater.

Onsite Round :

The participants are required to complete few tasks given to them. The tasks range from implementing a backend script along with devloping a cool User Interface.
