Segment 1:

  1. A team has to submit working model for a given problem statement.
  2. A detailed abstract should be submitted before working on the model.
  3. Working model will be evaluated.
  4. Teams selected from this round will go directly to the final round.


Segment 2:
  1. Round 1:A written test of 1.5 hrs duration.
  2. Round 2:This is a Surprise Round.
  3. Final Round:The problem statement for the final round will be released a day prior to the final day.

Rules

  • Teams have to make the contraption based on any one of the contexts given in problem statement.
  • Each team has to submit a descriptive flowchart containing the step by step description of the machine. Elimination may be done based on flowchart.
  • Points will be allotted based on completion of task, parallel steps, perfection of completion of task, innovation and steps involved in energy conversion.
  • Penalty will be deducted for each human intervention and objects leaving arena.

Rules

Round 1:

Shortlisting will be done based on written test of 1.5 hrs duration. Test will have puzzles, Aptitude and some basic technical questions. 15 teams will be shortlisted.

Round 2:

Teams have to present their work to coordinators. Shortlisting based on ppt will be done by them. 8 teams will be selected for final rounds.

Round 3:

Shortlisted teams will present their work in front of panels.

It involves fabrication of a water rocket whose thrust for flight is obtained by the use of pressurized air to expel water at a high rate.It is based on Newton's third law of motion and basics of projectile. Teams of 2 or 3 member can compete for first,second and third prize!!!

  • Open to all branches for 1st year.
  • For 2nd and 3rd year at least 2 members from Mech/PIE.

  • Maximum pressure allowed is 65 psi.
  • For each round 2 chances will be given to each team. The best out of two will be selected for evaluation.
  • Only team member is allowed to pump the rocket.

Rules

Round 1:

This round is for measurement of range. The water rocket must cross a minimum range of 50 metres. If any team does not cross 50 m, they will be directly eliminated.

Round 2:

In this round, the time of flight of rocket will be measured with a condition that the rocket should reach at least 30 m from launch point. In case, the rocket does not attain 30 m minimum range, 10 points will be deducted.

Round 3:

In 3rd round, accuracy of the rocket will be measured. For this, you will be given a fixed target. There will be two poles. The rocket should pass between the poles. If the rocket passes between the poles, 80 points will be added. The distance of launch point to target point will be 40m. In case, the rocket does not pass in between the two poles, no points will be awarded.
